Etsy Sellers...low views and sales? A pep talk..WITH ideas!

No ONE marketing activity should make or break you. If it does, then you need to think of other marketing ideas to get your name out there. Some marketing activities will get you more results than others but counting on one specific thing to drive traffic to your shop is only going to serve to limit you.

Right now a ton of Etsy shops are experience low views and sales. A big problem appears to be that Etsy listings are not making it to Google shopping. Frustrating? Damn right. But let’s FIX it the issue…low views and sales. Because beyond posting in the forums or sending emails to admin, the Google search issue is pretty much out of your hands…so as soon as you are done posting that post or sending that email, clear your mind and sit down to make a list of other marketing activities you could be doing.

Like….

Jewelry shops…
Have you come up with a marketing campaign aimed at men? Now wait…before you think this chick has NO CLUE what she’s talking about, let me point something out. Who buys for women? Men! Especially around holidays like Mother’s Day or Valentine’s Day. If you design and write the marketing in a way that shows you are trying to help them and you will make it SUPER easy for them to shop (offer to come back and collect orders if they don’t want to shop online), this gets great results. Make a nice catalog or brochure of your product and write a great sales letter and drop it off to men dominated businesses, such as; car repair shops, construction companies, electricians, plumbing companies, supply stores for any of these industries, car dealerships, etc.

This is definitely an outside the box way of thinking but it is a demographic that gets completely overlooked.

Bath and Beauty shops….
Soap makers…..Have you talked to the Realtors in your area and packaged and showcased your products as a great closing gift for their clients?

All bath and beauty sellers….Have you approached women dominated businesses and asked to leave samples of your product and left your business cards?

These are just few ideas …and hopefully they get my point across. You’ve got to get creative and get yourself noticed out in the REAL WORLD….you’ll feel better doing SOMETHING to help your shop. Mentally, it puts you in a better place, realizing your business IS in your control and not at the mercy of Google Search.

Because really, in the end, you and only you are responsible for your success or failure...don’t let one problem be your downfall….get out there and fix it!!!
