Every day I receive media lead queries....3 times a day!....These are legit leads from reputable journalists, blog writers, etc. Some for well known publications, some for small blogs....it's a super broad list!
I go over these queries for my marketing clients and send them any relevant leads. This week I've started posting the leads in the Etsy forums. I did not post the source of the leads or the contact info in the forums, as that is one of my many little marketing "secrets" that set me apart from other marketing sellers on Etsy. And there's two reasons for wanting to post these leads. #1 I genuinely love to help people. #2 It is going to help raise my visibility and credibility with my marketing work, among Etsy sellers. Works for me! lol. I opted to have people convo me to get the contact info.
I did this a few times and I got so many requests for the contact info that I knew I needed to find another way to get these leads to Etsy sellers that were interested. It is super important to respond to these leads QUICKLY, so I definitely knew I needed a better way.
So I'm going to try this. When I get the leads, I'm going to post a link in the Etsy forums to here and just post the information here. :-) WAY easier and no one will fall through the cracks that way, either!
Here is a link to my page that explains this a little more and has a link to a short video that will give you tips on how best to respond to the queries! http://www.ataglancegraphics.com/p/media-leads.html
I'm so excited to start this!!! :-)
